MRII Promotes Sustainable Environment with Solar Technology
April 27, 2018
Mactan Rock Industries Inc. (MRII) solidifies its commitment in going greener this year. On April 25, 2018, a turnover ceremony and blessing of the solar power system from MacSol took place at MRII’s Demi Plant in Suba, Masulog, Lapu-Lapu City. This event is in conjunction with the company’s contract with MacSol Solar signed last January.
The fifteen-year period of investment for the solar technology involves a zero cash out arrangement. MRII will only pay a monthly charge based on consumption. This would help MRII with cost reduction to their electricity.
The installed solar power system uses energy from the sun to power MRII’s plant in Lapu-Lapu City. Traditional power systems use fossil fuels, which need to be burned to produce energy. This results in air and water pollution and releases greenhouse gasses into the atmosphere. When in use, solar panels produce power without waste or emissions, and do so through a natural process called photovoltaics.
This event serves as a stepping stone for Mactan Rock’s mission to “promoting sustainable environment.”
