Qualifications:
- Graduate of appropriate course (at least vocational or accredited by TESDA)
- Physically fit or able to perform the duties and responsibilities outlined for the job
- Willing to work beyond regular working hours including holidays (as needed) and in working conditions that include inadequate lighting, restricted movement, noisy and untidy environment
- Willing to be reassigned anywhere in the Philippines
- Computer literate (emails and MS Office e.g. Word, Excel) for reportorial purposes
- Time-conscious (punctual and reports for duty regularly on a shifting schedule)
- Team player, takes initiative (does not wait to be told)
- Hard working (even without supervision)
- Preferably living with in Cabadbaran and Magallanes Area
- Can speak, write and understand English, Tagalog and Bisaya
- Possesses basic knowledge in plumbing / water works
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Regularly runs and controls the functioning of standby power supply (generator) and equipment (clarifier, UF, RO, multimedia, bag filters, pumps, instrumentations, etc.) needed to remove impurities in raw water before distribution to consumers
- Undertakes chemical dosing (chlorine, PAC, etc.) according to established dosage rates to ensure water is safe for drinking
- Observes, checks and keeps continuous record of measuring devices (e.g. pressure gauges, meters, etc.) to monitor how well the equipment is working
- Takes samples, performs tests (pH, TDS, residual chlorine, etc.) and records results to ensure water qualities are at standard levels
- Reports and submits records of water test results and equipment monitoring to assist plant analyst in data analysis
- Conducts regular condition-based maintenance of pumps, motors, valves, filters and instrumentations, etc.
- Keeps an updated inventory of all chemical stocks, tools, etc. every shift for turn-over to the next shift
- Assists maintenance personnel in performing repairs and other break-down maintenance (e.g. leak repairs) as the need arises and in responding to emergencies
- Repairs minor leaks, conducts surface preparation and repaints as needed
- Keeps plant area clean, organized and safe for work by implementing 5S in the workplace
- Practices high quality standard in the performance of specific tasks geared towards customer satisfaction
- Improves and does all necessary corrective measures in the overall performance of duties and responsibilities
- Abides with the company policies, rules and organization
- Attends to departmental and coordination meetings as scheduled or called for the department manager or other company authorized officers
- Participates in company sponsored activities, annual conference, mid year conference, quarterly family and recognition day
- Maintains and implements proper records management
- Ensures confidentiality of information and documents at all times
- Performs other functions that may be assigned, commensurate to qualification/training and seminars attended
